A sports forum focusing on the interests and needs of ethnic communities will be launched on Wednesday in Middlesbrough.
Becon - the regional network of ethnic minority organisations - and Tees Valley Sport, is holding a half-day seminar, culminating in the launch of the Tees Valley BME Sports Forum.
Tony Hanson, regional manager of Becon, said: "There is growing recognition of the very positive benefits which sport and physical activity can bring to individuals and the wider community.
"The seminar will showcase examples of good practice and explore issues and needs through a number of workshops."
Places are still available for the seminar at Middlesbrough Teaching and Learning Centre, which runs from 10am to 1pm.
