AN organisation for businesses is hoping to attract more members following a relaunch this month.
The Richmond Business and Tourism Association (RBTA) was created in 1999 from the former Chamber of Trade.
One of its aims is to recognise the increasingly important role played by tourism in the local economy.
It has 100 members, but it is hoped the re-launch will attract further businesses.
Dr Mike Nicholls, who presided over the relaunch, urged all businesses, whatever their size to sign up.
He said: "The RBTA has an important part to play in the economic regeneration of the area and this role will increase in the coming years.
"Businesses need to join together and support each other so that we can play an increasingly positive part in the future of our whole area."
