DISABLED visitors to the Bellamy Pavilion at Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar, will be able to enjoy a more user-friendly experience after it secured £85,000 to modernise its facilities.
The cash will be used to install electronically operated doors, better toilets and support facilities, plus improvements to the classrooms.
Redcar and Cleveland Learning Disability Partnership Board secured the funding through a Government scheme to make learning accessible to disabled users. Councillor Valerie Hilton, Redcar and Cleveland Council cabinet member for social services, said: "This is brilliant news."
