SILVER surfers will be encouraged to go online at an event to be staged by Age Concern later this month.
As part of an ongoing programme of intergenerational events, Age Concern County Durham has teamed up with the BBC to encourage older people to get more out of the Internet.
The BBC bus will be outside Age Concern House, in Atherton Street, Durham City, from 9.30am to 2.30pm, on Tuesday, October 26.
Everyone who takes part will get an hour of expert tuition, including how to shop online rather than make a trip to the supermarket, and how to use e-mail to keep in touch with family.
