RESIDENTS in the borough of Stockton are being urged to make their voices heard as part of Local Democracy Week.
Making Your Mark is the theme this year and Stockton Borough Council's democratic services has organised a series of events to run throughout Local Democracy Week, from next Monday, as well as other activities throughout October.
Barbara Campbell, the council's development officer, said; "Local Democracy Week is a wonderful opportunity for people to see how local authorities are run and how they can become involved and have their voices heard.
"We will be running a host of events, from guided tours of Stockton Town Hall to a Question Time-style evening so people can really get a feel for what local authorities do."
