A SINGER whose wide-ranging style was developed at village fairs in the south of France is to sing in aid of a North-East church.
Florence Malavialle, known as Flossie, will give a concert in St Cuthbert's Church centre, Darlington, on Saturday, October 30, at 7.30pm, in aid of its organ appeal fund.
Flossie's musical career in England began three years ago when a colleague at Grangefield School, Stockton, where she was an exchange teacher, took her to a folk club night at Darlington Arts Centre.
Although the 35-year-old went back to teaching in Nmes, she returned to England a year later and now has a gig list covering venues across the country.
