A MOTHER and her two children were taken to hospital for checks after they were involved in a car accident.
The incident happened as the woman, from Scotland, was driving her VW Golf along Front Street in Hart Village, near Hartlepool, Teesside, on Sunday at 7.20pm.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to the University Hospital of Hartlepool with her children aged four and eight months as a precaution, but all three were released.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them on (01642) 326326.
l A man was taken to hospital with a fractured pelvis after being involved in a car accident.
The incident happened at 5.40pm on Friday in Cowpen Bewley Road, Billingham, Teesside.
The 27-year-old was driving his Citroen Saxo southbound when a Renault Clio, travelling in the opposite direction, appeared to lose control and veered into the path of his car.
The Saxo driver was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, where he received treatment for a fractured pelvis and fracture to the base of his spine.
The driver of the Renault Clio was unhurt.
