A BUDDING poet has won a writing competition for the second time.
Sedgefield youngster Timothy Jasper, ten, a pupil at Trimdon St William's RCVA Primary School, recorded his second victory in the Darlington Young Poet Of The Year competition.
He won the ten to 12-year-old class with his poem Well, Bully For You, which earned praise from the judge at Ottakar's Poetry Party.
Judge and poet Anne Wright, herself a finalist in the Northallerton branch's contest, said Tim's poem was "well created" and "showed considerable maturity in being able to delve right into the head of a victim of bullying".
Tim's sister Ciaran, aged eight, was runner-up in the five to eight-year-old class, which she won last year, with her poem My Most Annoying Things.
