THE Reverend Martin King was showered with gifts upon his retirement from a Sedgefield church.
An embroidered stole, a card signed by parishioners, a booklet of pictures of St Edmund's Church from the junior church and a cheque were among the gifts he received.
A Choral Evensong recording his life in music was held in St Edmund's Parish Church, with a choir drawn from areas in which he served. He had been in Sedgefield parish for 12 years.
