CARE services for all ages will be showcased at an event in Redcar today.
Transforming Lives has been set up by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's social services department's disability team in partnership with service providers.
It has 30 information stands aimed at raising people's awareness of existing services available.
The event is running at the Bellamy Pavilion, next to Redcar's Kirk-leatham Museum, from 11am to 4pm.
There will be representatives from supported housing and tenancies, equipment and aids, transport solutions from Dial A Ride, Future Regeneration of Grangetown, Smart cars and an assortment of community support services for people with a disability and their carers.
Lynne Kasper, the team's reviewing officer for learning disabilities, said: "The day will provide the opportunity to identify further the gaps in service provision, while seeking innovative and creative ways of meeting people's needs."
"By working in partnership, we wish to create better life chances for people with a disability."
