COUNCILLORS are concerned about villagers converting garages into rooms and exacerbating the problem of roadside parking.
The issue was brought up at Middleton St George's parish council meeting this week when members discussed an application to convert a garage on High Stell.
Councillor Mike McBride said the village suffers from having too many cars on the roadside. He and two other members thought the council should object.
But five members voted against the objection, as the property has its own drive.
