PUPILS got a taste of life in the workplace when they visited businesses in the Tees Valley.
Groups of youngsters from Haughton Community School experienced different industries on their trips to ten firms. They had to find out about the business they visited, the qualifications needed to do certain jobs, disciplinary procedures and more.
The visits took place on Wednesday morning and, in the afternoon, pupils gave presentations on what they had learned.
Participants in the event were Asda, Hollywood Bowl, South West Durham Training, Capita, the fire service, police, Army, Darlington county court, the Civic Theatre and Railway Museum.
