A COUNCIL has won an award for its high standard of legal advice on its website.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's consumer and money advice service has been awarded the Community Legal Service's Quality Mark.
The council is the first authority in the North-East, and one of only 13 nationwide, to receive the award.
The site includes information on consumer rights, frequently asked questions, a useful links section, a downloadable Money Advice self-help pack and a feedback section.
The pages, which can be access through the council website at www.redcar-cleveland. gov.uk include information about the service and how to contact officers.
The award is the third Quality Mark for the advice service's provision, adding to plaudits for telephone and face-to-face advice, also co-ordinated by the council's trading standards unit.
