A JUDGE answered questions about the criminal justice system at a weekend event.
Judge Les Spittle put himself forward for three question and answer sessions at the Teesside Combined Court Centre, in the middle of Middlesbrough, on Saturday.
He was joined by Keith Simpson, head of the Trials Unit at the Crown Prosecution Service on Teesside, and local barrister John Constable.
There was also a demonstration of the video links which are being used at the court.
They offer children and other vulnerable witnesses the opportunity to give their evidence without having to undergo the stress of attending a hearing.
The exercise was part of Inside Justice Week, giving people a look at how the justice system operates.
