THE latest donation from a trust has funded equipment for a multi-sensory room.
The Durham City Trust has given the support to Deerness Leisure Centre, which opened its Sensations room with the help of money raised during the 1996 Mayor's Appeal.
Disabled people from 30 organisations across the region have benefited from the facility.
To show appreciation for the donations and hard work of the trust fund, the leisure centre is to commemorate the latest £7,000 gift with a plaque in honour of the trust's founder, Mildred Brown.
