THE official opening of the newly-refurbished tea rooms and the school railway at a woodland park has taken place.
The Station House at Wynyard Woodland Park, near Thorpe Thewles, is a popular visitor attraction. The tea rooms and refurbished shop marks a new beginning for the building.
The railway carriage is to be used as an educational resource by pupils from around Stockton.
The opening ceremony took place on Friday in the company of representatives from Stockton Borough Council, One NorthEast, the Countryside Agency and Heritage Lottery, as well as from organisations who have helped with the project.
Volunteer ranger Ed Restall, who played a major part in the restoration of the railway carriage, also attended along with volunteer Bob Mullins.
