YOUNG designers from Darlington College of Technology are to have their work considered by experts at car manufacturer Jaguar.
The second year BTEC National Diploma Multi-Media Design students were asked to design a web page, logo and show stand for a Jaguar 4x4 model. These were judged by Jaguar design manager Joe Buck, who spent a day with the students and will take their work back to the company.
Middlesbrough-born Mr Buck has managed Jaguar's design studio in Coventry for five years.
He said: "I am really pleased with the standard of their work.
"I am also going to arrange a day for the students to visit the design studios in Coventry."
Eric Walsh, from the college, said: "We set an assignment that would show the students what it is like to work on something in the real world."
