HEALTH services came under the microscope yesterday as patients were asked to help shape the future of care provision in the area.
Sedgefield Primary Care Trust (PCT) asked the public for views on the performances of hospitals it operates, and on the GPs, opticians, nurses, dentists and other therapists it employs.
Chairwoman Gloria Wills led a team of trust directors and staff at the event in Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre.
She said: "The PCT heard from people at the listening event who were happy with the NHS services we provide.
"We also learned a lot about areas where local people wanted health services to improve. We will use the information we have received from local people to develop action plans that will help improve health care services."
