POST office staff are celebrating success in an awards scheme.
The Gilling West branch, near Richmond, was runner- up in the regional rural category of the Post Office awards to find the best town and country post offices.
Shortlisted branches were assessed by a panel of judges, including representatives from Postwatch and the Federation of Small Businesses.
Post Office representative Mark Wright said: "The people who manage post office branches, whether in busy towns or remote rural areas, are doing a great job at a time when the network is undergoing unprecedented change.
"With a very high standard of entries, the choice was not easy and the judges were impressed with Gilling West Post Office."
