A Canadian couple have inspected an aircraft they helped restore.
Murray and Louise Cornblum gave money to have the T-33 Silver Star jet at the Yorkshire Air Museum, near York, returned to its original Royal Canadian Air Force markings.
The couple became involved with the museum after visiting when Mr Cornblum was retracing his steps as a wartime air traffic controller at bases in the region.
The T-33 was used by the Royal Canadian Air Force in Germany from 1954 for training. In 1984, the role of the Silver Star changed to that of support, liaison and transport, and as a target bomber. The T-33 was retired in 1992 after 38 years in service.
Although the jet is one of the few non-British aircraft in the museum's collection, there is a British link, because the planes were powered by Rolls-Royce Nene engines.
