THE annual social services staff conference in North Yorkshire included a celebration of staff achievements.
Awards were presented in recognition of new initiatives developed over the year.
Thirty staff who gained nationally-recognised qualifications, including National Vocational Qualifications, had their achievements recognised.
The staff, who work with people in their own homes, day centres, or residential establishments, support a vast number of people across North Yorkshire.
The awards were presented by county councillor Clare Wood and the new director of social services for North Yorkshire, Derek Law.
Councillor Wood said: "I would like to congratulate this group of staff on their achievement.
"Their hard work has paid off for them personally, but the real winners are the people of North Yorkshire for whom services will continue to improve."
