A PUPPY with special needs is searching for a loving home with someone who can devote time, energy and financial support to caring for him.
Chester was found by a member of the public and taken to a Bishop Auckland veterinary practice with a suspected head injury.
The tiny black labrador cross-breed is fighting his way back to fitness and has regained his sight, so staff at Wilson Veterinary Group want to see the ten-week-old find a new home.
Nurse Penny Blythe said: "He is lovely but will be a lot of work. Whoever takes him needs to give a lot of time and patience and not to be taking him out of pity.
"It needs to be someone who can financially afford to look after him as there is a risk he could be epileptic and need further treatment.
"We are confident that he will recover well but he is a little bit backward, walks topsy-turvy and gets exhausted easily, so a house with an indoor kennel and no young children would be best.
"Experience with dogs would be good but temperament and love are the things he needs most."
