The husband of an Asian bride stabbed to death in front of her family has denied murdering her.
Factory worker Amir Shazad, 29, pleaded not guilty at Teesside Crown Court to murdering Nusrat Ali.
The 25-year-old was repeatedly stabbed in the garden of her home in Middlesbrough on August 17. She died in hospital three hours after the attack.
Recorder of Middlesbrough Peter Fox QC set a trial date of February 21, next year. Shazad, who was assisted by an interpreter during the 20-minute hearing, was remanded in custody.
