YOUNGSTERS can enjoy a number of activities during the half-term break.
Sedgefield Borough Council's four leisure centres at Spennymoor, Ferryhill, Newton Aycliffe and Shildon Sunnydale will hold Splash Active sessions of football, netball, badminton, tennis and pool.
There will also be: Halloween arts and crafts on Wednesday, at Shildon, from 11am to 12.30pm, Newton Aycliffe, from 1.30pm to 3pm; and Friday night pool parties at Newton Aycliffe from 6pm to 7.30pm, Spennymoor, from 8pm to 9pm, and a fancy dress Halloween disco for eight to 14-year-olds, at Spennymoor, on , Saturday, tickets £2.
SureStart will hold free Halloween arts and crafts workshops for under fives on Thursday at Ferryhill Library, from 10.15am to 12.15pm, and at Chilton Library from 1.45pm to 3.45pm.
In Wear Valley Glenholme Leisure Centre pool, Crook, will have inflatables on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and large floats on Tuesday and Thursday, 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Woodhouse Close Leisure Centre, Bishop Auckland, will have flumes and floats in the pool every day, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, and a pool-side disco on Wednesday, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, and a fancy dress Halloween disco, 5pm to 7pm, tickets £3.
Parkside Community Association, Willington, will hold tennis tasters, dance, soccer skills and drama games on Tuesday, from 10am.
On Wednesday, it will host cheerleading, tennis tasters, soccer and computing, from 10am, and judo and girls soccer, from 1pm.
On Thursday, there will be tennis tasters, outdoor soccer, art for fun, computers, from 10am, and an indoor golf taster, from 1pm. All events at Parkside are free. To book a place, call Julie Wynn on (01388) 765555.
