AN arts project has been launched to inspire disabled people throughout the Tees Valley to explore their creativity with music, drama and creative writing.
Places are being taken for a 13-month course, Small World: Big Drums, at Linthorpe Road Community Resource Centre, Middlesbrough. It has been developed for people with physical and learning disabilities, and mental health issues.
Kev Howard, project co-ordinator, said: "The weekly informal sessions take place in relaxed surroundings. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm. The course is all about having fun, learning new skills and being creative."
Wednesday is the deadline for applications, with the course to start on November 16. For details, contact Mr Howard at Tees Valley Arts, Melrose House, Melrose Street, Middlesbrough, or call (01642) 264651.
