A CHARITY shop is calling on budding photographers to enter a competition.
The Barnardo's shop, in Posthouse Wynd, Darlington, used to be a photography and developing outlet before the charity took over.
It is now returning to its roots with a contest aimed at raising money for its work with children.
Shop manager Jill Payne said: "We had a lot of old cameras donated to us which sold very well and there seems to be a huge interest in photography among quite a few of our customers."
Anyone can enter the competition and entries must be on the theme of the North.
Entries cost 50p each and photographs must be 5in x 7in, not framed or mounted, with negatives supplied.
The closing date is Wednesday, November 3, and Professor David Bellamy will judge entries the following Saturday.
Winning photos will be exhibited in the shop for a week.
