A COUNCILLOR who has served for 37 years has published his autobiography.
Builder Bill Stenson, who represents the Mowden ward in Darlington, wrote Night Owl about his experiences on the town's streets.
For many years, he was the man called out when town centre shop windows were smashed - and the book recounts the adventures he had as he built up one of Darlington's most successful firms.
Coun Stenson said: "Writing it has been a labour of love."
Night Owl will be launched at Ottakar's, in the Cornmill Centre, on Saturday, between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
