FREE health checks and safety advice will be offered at a roadshow targeting the over fifties next month.
Although anyone can attend the event, organisers of the 50plus Your Health Roadshow want older people to access the service.
Visitors will be offered a free health check, diabetes check and complementary therapies.
Free flu vaccines will also be available from Sedgefield Primary Care Trust for people aged 65 or over and those with chronic illnesses.
There will be information on healthy eating, medicine management, foot health, energy advice, and how to exercise gently.
Durham Constabulary and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Brigade will offer tips on home security and fire safety.
The Pioneering Care Partnership, Sedgefield Borough and Durham county councils, Tees & Durham Energy Advice, Warm Front, Age Concern Durham County, social services and Sedgefield Locality Carers Centre are all involved in the roadshow.
It will visit Jubilee Fields Community Centre, Shildon, on Tuesday, November 2, and West Cornforth Community Centre, on Tuesday, November 16, from 10am to 1pm.
