POLICE said yesterday they were pleased with the reaction to an appeal to reunite owners with suspected stolen items.
Saddles, bridles, harnesses, bits, grooming equipment, blankets and riding helmets recovered by police investigating burglaries across North Yorkshire went on display in Thirsk on Saturday.
Police invited members of the public who had lost tack to try to identify their property.
Investigating officer PC Kevin Brookes said: "It was successful and we are quite pleased with it. A quantity of the tack was identified and it has led on to some other inquiries."
A North Yorkshire man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is on police bail pending inquiries.
