FLOOD warnings remain in force after heavy rains swelled streams and rivers near to bursting point.
Several Environment Agency flood warnings were issued in North Yorkshire on Saturday.
Warnings for footpaths alongside the River Ouse, in York, and the area between Bishopthorpe and St George's Field remained in place yesterday. Lower level flood watch warnings were also still active in the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the Vale of York. The alerts were issued after torrential rain saw river levels rise.
Forecasters said it should remain dry today, but the region could see further downpours tomorrow.
