AN annual charity golf tournament has again helped local charities.
The event, organised by Broadacres Housing Association at Romanby Golf Club, Northallerton, raised more than £1,000.
The winners of the Broadacres Challenge Trophy were the team from Tunstall Telecom, who are based at Whitley Bridge.
Broadacres' managing director Steve Towers said: "This year we were approached by some local charities who have got to hear of our annual golf tournament, so we are very pleased to be able to help motor neurone disease, the Stroke Association and Macmillan Nurses."
