A RETIRED couple were hurt after a car pulled out in front of them on the A19, causing them to crash.
The driver of the small car, who police say caused the accident, failed to stop.
Both the husband and wife suffered minor injuries and were in a state of shock after the crash on the A19 southbound, at the A1027 Billingham and Stockton turn-off.
The accident was at about 11.45am on Saturday, when the couple were travelling in their red Vauxhall Corsa.
The small car pulled out in front of them causing the Corsa driver to lose control.
The car veered to the side of the road and hit two road signs, causing some damage to the car.
Any witnesses, or anyone with any information, is asked to call PC Michael Callaghan, of Cleveland Road Police Unit, on (01642) 301552.
