THE first fashion show of its kind for "Gothics and skaters" was held in the region yesterday.
Clothing, jewellery and accessories were on offer to people of all ages at the Lounge Bar, Darlington, followed by an over-18s concert by local bands.
It was held to reflect the growing interest in the trend among the town's young people.
Organiser Lisa Smith said: "There are not many places that cater for this taste. Once I started advertising the event on the Internet, I got a lot of response from bands all over, from London to even the US.
"But I had to turn them down as this first event we wanted local bands and local shops only.
"We hope to organise music events where bands from over the country can come and play to build their fan base in the North-East."
