ONLY weeks after her partner died of a brain haemorrhage, a Darlington woman has lost the kitten they bought together last Christmas.
Clare Chegwidden, 38, is desperate to find ten-month-old Ginge, who went missing on October 18 from her home in Grasmere Road.
The tortoiseshell cat holds special memories for Miss Chegwidden because her partner, Karen Jones, who died suddenly in September, had hand-reared the cat since it was four weeks old.
"Karen loved her - Ginge would sleep around her neck at night. I'm desperate to get her back," said Miss Chegwidden
Ginge is microchipped and a reward is being offered for her safe return. Anyone with information can call (01325) 260552.
