A LUNG cancer support group in Darlington has been presented with a cheque for £250 to help provide nebulisers for cancer sufferers.
The support group was set up a year ago and holds monthly meetings at the Blackwell Grange Hotel, in Grange Road, for cancer patients, families and carers.
Debbie Brownless presented members with a cheque this week on behalf of the Insurance Association of Teesside.
Jeanette Draffan, a lung cancer nurse at Darlington Memorial Hospital, helps run the support group. She said: "There are about 20 members and each month we raise about £30 or £40. This will really boost our fundraising efforts."
