ELDERLY people in Darlington have been queueing up to get aboard a bus for their flu vaccination.
The mobile clinic is being operated by Darlington Primary Care Trust to make it easier for residents to have the annual jab.
Every year, the trust embarks on a flu vaccination campaign to protect people from the disease.
Trust flu co-ordinator Marilyn Abbott said: "The bus has proved very popular but people who don't use it shouldn't forget to make an appointment with their doctor's surgery.
"I can't stress enough the importance of having your flu vaccination.
"It's the only way to be sure of escaping what is a very nasty disease, particularly if you are elderly or have a chronic illness."
The flu bus has been touring Darlington and will next visit outlying villages.
Next Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm, it will be in Sadberge, and the following day in Middleton St George, from 9am to 11am, Long Newton from 11.05am to 1pm, and Trees Park from 1.30pm to 4pm.
