TOWN residents have backed a campaign to give the roundabout at the entrance to Kirkbymoorside a new look.
Two long-term residents, James Farrow and Bill Tateson, donated £100 to the town council towards the cost of the project.
The project is being taken on board by the Kirkbymoorside in Bloom group through the town's Renaissance Market Town scheme.
Councillor Gaynor de Barr, the deputy town mayor and leader of the roundabout initiative, said: "It is a wonderful gesture."
It is hoped that businesses and other residents will support the campaign.
Coun de Barr said a professional garden landscaper was being brought in to help and North Yorkshire County Council's highways department, which has given the go-ahead, was being consulted.
