Thirsk Chamber of Trade is to be re-launched on Tuesday in an attempt to attract more members and offer a wider service.
It is to be re-styled Thirsk and District Business Association after presentations at the Three Tuns Hotel in the town, starting at 7pm.
The business meeting will be followed by a buffet and wine, and the chairman, Don Moore, will welcome visitors.
He said: "We hope as many business people as possible make the effort to attend to hear of our activities and how we are trying to make a significant difference to improving how we do business in the area."
There will be speakers from the regional Chamber of Commerce and business support organisations.
The branch has secured funds to pilot a directory for all business in the district. It also has a strong women's section.
