A PARISH council is attempting to regain the ownership of mayoral chains.
The chains and other regalia, costing £1,500, once belonged to Hartlepool's Headland Town Council which is now defunct. But a new body, the Headland Parish Council, is attempting to have the mayoral chains obtained from a private family.
The issue will be discussed by the Headland Parish Council on Tuesday, November 23, at 7.15pm, in Headland Borough Hall.
