THE term "anti-social behaviour" has become the latest buzz word on the lips of police and councillors everywhere.
In Spectator's day it was known as hanging around, high spirits, devilment or, at its worst, straightforward crime.
It was with some amusement, therefore, that the following snippet, taken from a report by one of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's recently formed area environment committees, caught a colleague's eye.
The minutes say a resident reported the following: "Door dumped, children smashed and left in the car park.."
A case of under-age drinking that got out of hand - or just dodgy grammar and punctuation?
Not so promising
GET out and recycle is the message being delivered in Darlington this week. Last week, several streets wore a rundown look as over-flowing green recycling boxes sat by the kerbs for a day until the collectors caught up with them on their new schedules. Seems like a case so far of over promising and under delivering.
