A 17-YEAR-OLD faces being locked up after stealing two bikes from a garage in Darlington.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted entering the garage on Baydale Road last month and taking the mountain bikes, worth £450.
He also admitted to entering a shed on Polam Road as a trespasser with intent to steal when he appeared at Darlington Youth Court yesterday.
Magistrates have also been asked to consider further offences of theft and burglary.
Proceedings against the boy were adjourned until November 12 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared, with all options open.
No plea has been entered for a charge of common assault.
