YOUNG actors are to turn shopping assistants to raise funds for their latest production.

To raise cash for costumes and props, the 50-strong group, whose ages range from five to 17, will be packing shoppers' bags at Iceland in the town, next Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. The pantomime runs at Park View Theatre in Chester-le-Street, from November 23, to November 27, at 7.15pm each night, and a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.
Tickets are £5, or £4 for concessions, and are available on 0191-388 5957.
