MOURNERS are to have a peaceful area set aside in a Ferryhill cemetery where loved ones can be remembered.
A remembrance garden in Duncombe Cemetery is to be funded with a £56,000 grant to Ferryhill Town Council from the Countryside Agency.
In the garden, there will be a seating area, fountain, scented plants and spaces for remembrance plaques to commemorate those who do not have a grave.
The design can be viewed at the town hall during office hours. The council is currently securing funding so that a car park can be built at the cemetery site.
