ARTIST Paul Newman would be the first to admit his creations are rubbish.
He uses a wide range of recycled materials, mainly old newspapers, to sculpt everything from mirror surrounds to wall panels, mantlepieces and figures.
Mr Newman started work on his innovative artworks after being mugged in Amsterdam and having all his money stolen.
To survive, he started doing street art and individual commissions. Now, the man from Marton, in Middlesbrough, has returned to Teesside and set up in business with his recycled art with the help of Renew Tees Valley.
He has called his business InspiritAtion and exhibited examples of his work at the first-ever Tees Valley Organic Festival, held at Nature's World, Middlesbrough.
