CHILD care staff at Darlington College have won high praise from independent inspectors.
The Child Care Centre, at the Cleveland Avenue campus, provides places for 71 children, aged from six weeks to 14 years old, allowing many of their parents to study at the college.
Ofsted inspectors praised the care and attention that children receive, in what they describe in their report as a safe and stimulating environment.
The report said: "Parents are actively encouraged to be involved in their children's learning.
"Partnership with parents is excellent."
The reports highlights good working relationships between managers and their staff in a warm, welcoming, and organised setting.
Centre manager Andi Cartwright said: "We had hoped the inspection report would be this good and we strive to work to a high standard. The staff are highly qualified and we have a fantastic team.
"But it is brilliant to get external recognition for the quality of care we provide."
