MORE than 1,000 young people are expected to attend a one-day careers fair in Middlesbrough this week.
The University of Teesside's annual careers fair runs from 10am to 3pm, in the main hall and sports hall on the campus this Friday. Nearly 50 organisations will be represented.
Bill Greenwood, senior careers advisor, said: "The range of opportunities on offer reflects the diverse graduate market today.
"Among our visitors, we'll be welcoming firms with an international presence like the Kerry Group and Cummins Engineering, together with representatives from local and national Government departments.
"There'll be recruiters, too, from areas including science, health and education.
"This is a major event in the university's careers calendar and we'll be expecting more than 1,000 Teesside students and graduates on the day."
The University Careers Service was highly commended for its work at the first matrix excellence awards ceremony in London this year.
