ROB EVANS, business manager at Wensleydale Dairy Products, has been appointed a director of the British Cheese Board.
The board, formed in 1997, represents many British cheesemakers and promotes the industry internationally.
Mr Evans joined Wensleydale Creamery, in North Yorkshire, nearly six years ago and is responsible in part for developing the popular Wensleydale Cheese with cranberries, which accounts for more than a third of the creamery's sales.
He said: "British cheesemaking has a winning formula of combining tradition with innovation and I want to continue that success working with the British Cheese Board."
