AN in-depth introduction to the world of franchising is being offered to businesses and budding entrepreneurs in the region.
Darlington-based The Franchise Company, the North's biggest franchise consultancy, has joined forces with legal experts at Jacksons Commercial & Private Law in Stockton to run two seminars on November 25.
The free talks are aimed at both potential franchisors - companies wishing to expand their business - and franchisees - individuals who are interested in setting up their own business.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to get some local information about franchising in a 'warts and all' approach, covering why franchising sometimes doesn't work, as well as how it can succeed," said Julie Waites, partner in The Franchise Company.
David Lucas, a partner at Jacksons, said: "In addition to myself and Julie, there will also be guest speakers at both events - an existing franchisor and franchisee - so delegates can hear it from the horse's mouth and decide whether franchising may be a suitable route for them."
The seminars will be held at Jacksons' offices in Stockton, with the breakfast seminar, between 8am and 10am, for potential franchisors and the evening seminar, between 6pm and 8pm is for potential franchisees.
