A GROUP of bikers partied the night away to raise £437 for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The Cobra Raleigh Club of Bishop Auckland, raised the money by holding an AC/DC tribute night at Cockton Hill Working Men's Club in the town.
Gary Humphrey and fellow biker Chappie presented the proceeds from the event to Brian and Sue Cave of the Great North Air Ambulance.
Mr Humphrey said: "There are only three of us in the club and we wanted to raise money for something so we chose the Great North Air Ambulance. It is nearly always the air ambulance which comes out to bikers and, without wanting to tempt fate, you never know if we might need them one day."
Brian Cave, fundraising manager for Great North Air Ambulance, said: "The evening was a great success and it is always a bonus when people enjoy themselves while raising money for charity.
"It is people like the Cobra RC that are important to the Air Ambulance because without them and others raising money for us we would never be able to fly."
