THREE thugs attacked and robbed a 23-year-old student with learning difficulties as he washed his hands.
The student was in a lavatory of Redcar and Cleveland College, Redcar, when the three youths approached him from behind.
They pulled him to the ground and then dragged him around the floor before stealing his mobile phone.
The victim sustained cuts and bruises and his glasses were shattered. Police said he was extremely shaken by the incident.
All three robbers were aged between 16 and 18 and carried out the attack at about 12.50pm on Tuesday at the Corporation Road college.
